1. The challenge in the present writ petition is to the order (Annexure P23) dated 26/09/2018 whereby the petitioner has been inflicted with a punishment of dismissal from service.
2. According to the petitioner he has already preferred an appeal against the said order before respondent No. 2 Appellate Authority which till date has not been decided.
3. Given the aforesaid facts that the appeal of the petitioner is still pending before the appellate authority, this Court at this juncture is of the opinion
that ends of justice would meet if the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the Appellate Authority to decide the pending departmental appeal at the earliest preferably within a period of 60 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
