1. Heard.

2. The Petitioner has assailed the order dated 25.02.2017 passed by the Chief Executive Officer, District Panchayat, Janjgir Champa by which number of Assistant Teachers have been promoted to the post of Teacher. The Petitioner is aggrieved as he has been superseded.

3. The Petitioner is an employee of Panchayat. If the Petitioner has any grievance with regard to the order of promotion passed by

the Panchayat, his remedy lies in preferring appeal under the provisions of Chhattisgarh Panchayat (Appeal & Revision) Rules, 1995. Without preferring any appeal the Petitioner has straightaway filed this Petition.

4. Therefore, this Petition is not maintenance in view of the existence of alternative remedy of appeal.

5. Accordingly, with a liberty to file appeal the present Petition stands dismissed.
