1. The present writ petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner for being transferred to either at his home town or nearby place considering the fact that only 8 months period is left for his retirement as the petitioner would

retire from service w.e.f. 30.09.2019. The petitioner, in this regard has already made representation to respondent no.2 and other authorities in the department which till date has not been considered.

2. Given the limited grievance that the petitioner has raised, this Court is of the opinion that no fruitful purpose would be served in keeping the petition pending, rather ends of justice would meet if respondent no.2 is directed to consider the case of the petitioner and pass an appropriate order in accordance with the rules and policy governing the field. It is ordered accordingly. Let this exercise be completed within a period of 90 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
