1. The challenge in the present writ petition is to the order Annexure P-1 dated 22/11/2018 which is an order of punishment of stoppage of three annual increments with cumulative effect.

2. Punishment order seems to be have been passed after the departmental enquiry was conducted.

3. Perusal of the order under challenge would reveal that the it is appealable order. It seems that the petitioner had not preferred any appeal against the punishment order and have straight away filed the present writ petition.

4. In view of the above the writ petition stands disposed off, reserving the right of the petitioner to prefer an appeal to the appellate authority and appellate authority, in turn, on receipt of the appeal shall decide the same within a period of 60 days from the date of receipt of appeal by the petitioner. The petitioner shall file the appeal to the appellate authority within a period of 15 days from today.
