The present application has been filed seeking for extension of time in deciding the appeal which was ordered to be decided within a period of three months from the order passed by this Court on 24.3.2017 in Writ Petition (S) No. 1453 of 2017.

Learned Counsel for the Applicants submits that for the reasons mentioned in the present application, the appellate authority is finding it difficult in concluding the appeal within the time granted by this Court and since there are identical appeals in a large number of cases, some more time is required for conclusion of the appeal and therefore he prays that the appellate authority may kindly be granted a further six months time within which they shall positively try to conclude the appeal. 3.

Learned Counsel for Respondent No.1 did not oppose the said prayer.

Accordingly, the present application is allowed. The period of limitation prescribed in paragraph 6 of the order dated 24.3.2017 passed in Writ Petition (S) No. 1453 of 2017 stands further extended for a period of six months from today.

With the aforesaid modification, the present application stands disposed of.
