1. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that so far as the relief of giving opportunity of participating in departmental examination to the petitioner is concerned, it has already been granted and petitioners have appeared in the said examination, therefore, the petition has become infructuous and for claiming notional seniority and other monetary benefits, petitioner may be allowed to file representation.

2. Learned counsel for the respondents would submit that if the representation is filed by the petitioner, it will be considered in accordance with law.

3. In that view of the matter, petitioners are allowed to make representation for readressal of their grievances before the respondent authorities within six weeks from today and if such representation is filed, the respondent authorities will decide it within the next 10 weeks from the date of filing of the representation by passing a reasoned and speaking order.

4. With the aforesaid direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No cost(s).
