1. The applicant has preferred this application for grant of anticipatory bail as she apprehends her arrest in connection with Crime No.10/2020, registered at Police Station Mahila Thana, Sector 6, District Durg for offences punishable under Section 498-A/34 of the IPC.

2. The applicant is the sister of co-accused Ekendra Singh, who was married with the complainant in the year 2013.

3. As per the prosecution case, husband Ekendra Singh and his relatives used to ill-treat the complainant and expelled her while she was carrying pregnancy.

4. Considering the fact that the applicant is the married sister of coaccused Ekendra Singh and she resides separate at Mahasamund whereas the complainant was residing with her husband Ekendra Singh at Vaishali Nagar, Bhilai, this Court is of the considered view that the applicant deserves to be granted benefit of anticipatory bail.

5. Accordingly, the application is allowed and it is directed that in the event of arrest of the applicant, she shall be released on anticipatory bail on her executing a personal bond for a sum of Rs.50,000/- with one surety in the like sum to the satisfaction of the arresting officer with the following conditions:- (i) she shall make herself available for interrogation by a police officer as and when required;

(ii) she shall not directly or indirectly make any inducement, threat or promise to any person acquainted with the facts of the case so as to dissuade him from disclosing such facts to the Court or to any police officer.
