1. Learned counsel for the State states that the SDO has nullified the impugned resolution of the Gram Panchayat and therefore, the same is of no consequence.
2. In view of the aforesaid statement made by learned Dy. Advocate General for the State, the resolution of the Gram Panchayat shall be of no effect.
3. As far as grievance of the petitioners that their complaints of overt criminal act are not being inquired into nor any report lodged, it is directed that the complaint lodged by the petitioners before the police authority shall be examined in the light of the decision of the Supreme Court in the case of Lalita Kumari Vs. Govt. of Uttar Pradesh & Ors., (2014) 2 SCC 1 and appropriate action in accordance with law shall be taken.
