The grievance of the petitioner is that the petitioner has applied for grant of quarry lease but the same has not been decided by the respondents and the same has been kept pending.

2.

The contents of the petition show that the application of the petitioner is under active consideration and the same is being processed. In the matter of grant of quarry lease, various information are required to be collected from

different functionaries and the existing provision do not require that the application should be decided within two or three months but on the other hand, the statutory scheme of Chhattisgarh Minor Mineral Rules, 2015 mandate decision of the application within one year from the date of receipt of the application. Therefore, at this stage, no specific direction can be issued except an observation that the respondents shall do well to expeditiously decide the application of the petitioner as early as possible and to take decision on the same within the stipulated period prescribed under the law. 3.

The petition is accordingly disposed off.
