2. This is an application filed under Section 438 of the Code of Criminal Procedure for grant of anticipatory bail to the applicants, who are apprehending their arrest in connection with Crime No.5/2020, registered at Police Station Charcha Kalri, Civil and Revenue District Koria (CG) for the offence punishable under Section 498-A/34 of the IPC.

3. The applicants are father-in-law and mother-in-law of the complainant, who was married with the applicants' son about 8 years back. There are allegation of ill-treatment but the allegation appears to be of general nature.

4. Considering the material available in the case diary and for the fact that the applicants are aged about 60 years and 55 years respectively, I am of the view that the present is a fit case to extend the benefit of Section 438 of Cr.PC to the applicants.

5. Accordingly, the application is allowed and it is directed that in the event of arrest of these applicants, they shall be released on anticipatory bail on each of them executing a personal bond for a sum of Rs.50,000/- with one surety each in the like sum to the satisfaction of the Arresting OfÏcer with the following conditions :- (i) they shall make themselves available for interrogation by a Police OfÏcer as and when required;

(ii) they shall not directly or indirectly make any inducement, threat or promise to any person acquainted with the facts of the case so as to dissuade him for disclosing such facts to the Court or to any Police OfÏcer.
