Hon'ble Shri Justice Sanjay K. Agrawal Order On Board 19/02/2020

1. The petitioner's application for grant of parole has been rejected by The District Magistrate, Gurela-Pendra-Marwahi (C.G.) vide order dated 04.06.2018 against which, this writ petition has been preferred.

2. Mr. Ahluwalia, learned State Counsel would submit that the concerned District Magistrate, Gurela-Pendra-Marwahi (C.G.) would reconsider the matter within 10 days in light of the decision rendered by this Court in the matter of Rakesh Shende v. State of Chhattisgarh (in WPCR No. 29 of 2016, decided on 18.11.2016).

3. In view of his submission, the order dated 04.06.2018 is hereby quashed and the case will be reconsidered preferably within 10 days from the date of presentation of certified copy of this order, in accordance with law.

4. With the aforesaid observations/ directions, the writ petition stands disposed off.
