1. The claim of the petitioners in the present writ petition is for grant of the difference of salary for the period between July, 2018 to June, 2019.
2. According to the petitioners, they were initially engaged under the Panchayat Department and have subsequently been brought into the the Education Department and later on, the services of the petitioners were absorbed from July, 2018 in the Education Department. However, the salary payable to the Lecturer in the Education Department was paid to the petitioners only from July, 2019 whereas the petitioners were absorbed in the Education Department from July, 2018, therefore, the petitioners would be entitled for the difference of salary for the period between July, 2018 i.e. the actual date of absorption till the actual salary under the Education department was paid to the petitioners w.e.f. July, 2019.
3. Given the said facts, let the petitioners, in addition to the representation that they have already made, make a fresh representation to the respondents 1 & 2 who in turn shall consider and process the claim of the petitioners in accordance with the rules at the earliest preferably within a period of 4 months from the date the petitioners submit a fresh representation.
