1. Paper Under Disposal (PUD) is an information received from the Court of Special Judge (N.D.P.S.), Durg. By the said communication, it is informed that the appellant, who has been convicted under Section 20 (b) ii (B) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 (for short 'the Act, 1985') and was sentenced to undergo RI for five years and fine of Rs.50,000/-, in default of payment of fine to further under go RI for one year, has served the entire sentence and has been released from the central jail, Durg.

2. Learned counsel for the appellant would submit that the appellant is no longer interested in challenging the conviction and sentence, therefore, in view of the fact that the entire sentence has been executed, this appeal has been rendered infructuous.

3. In view of the statement made by learned counsel for the appellant, the appeal is dismissed as infructuous.
