(1) Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is entitled for interest on the gratuity amount in light of decision rendered by the Division Bench of this Court in the matter of Karnail Singh Vs. General Manager, Bishrampur Area of SECL and others1 (2) Learned counsel of the respondent-SECL would submit that petitioner may make representation to the respondent/SECL for interest on the gratuity amount and the same would be decided in accordance ILR 2017 Chhattisgarh 1222
with law.
(3) Accordingly, the petitioner is directed to make representatin along with the decision rendered by Division Bench of this Court in the matter of Karnail Singh (supra) before the respondent-SECL for redressal of his grievances within a period of 15 days from today, and in turn the respondent-SECL shall decide the same expeditiously preferably within a period of four weeks from the date of presentation of the representation.
(4) With the aforesaid direction, the writ petition stands finally disposed of.
