Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner would submit that against the order of compulsory retirement dated 23.06.2017 passed by respondent No. 2 - Superintendent of Police, Bijapur, petitioner has filed a departmental appeal before respondent No. 3 - Inspector General of Police, Jagdalpur which is pending consideration since 26.10.2017 and has not been decided till date, therefore, directions may be issued to the concerned respondent authority to consider and decide the same expeditiously. 2.
I have heard learned counsel for the petitioner.

The prayer appears to be fair and reasonable and is accordingly allowed.

Be that as it may, the respondent No. 3 - Inspector General of Police, Jagdalpur is directed to consider and dispose of the appeal preferred by the petitioner after giving reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, expeditiously preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.

With the aforesaid observation, the writ petition stands finally disposed of. No order as to cost(s).
