The grievance of the petitioner in the present writ petition is that of the inaction on the part of the respondents in not considering the claim of the petitioners firstly for being designated as Professors and secondly so far as the claim for the requisite pay-scale of Professor in the A.G.P. of Rs. 10,000/-.

The perusal of the pleading would show that the respondent authorities have considered the claim of the petitioners by constituting an Expert Committee in this field. That there also seems to be recommendations made in their favour by the said Committee. Moreover all the petitioners have been found eligible for the said benefit however no government decision till date have been taken.

Given the aforesaid admitted facts and matter of the case, the writ petition at this juncture stands disposed of directing the respondents No. 1 & 2 to take an appropriate decision on the claim of the petitioners who are working on the post of Associate Professors since year 2006 for being considered granting the benefit of being designated as a Professor in terms of the regulations issued by the AICTE vide notification dated 05.03.2010, both firstly for being designated as a Professors and secondly also for grant of the requisite pay-scale with A.G.P. of Rs. 10,000/-. Let the decision be taken in this regard as early as possible within a period of 60 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 4.
