The applicant has been arrested in connection with Crime No.60/2017 registered at Police Station - Birra, District - Janjgir - Champa (CG) for alleged commission of offences under Section 489 (A) (B) & (C) of IPC. 2.

Learned counsel for the applicant submits that in the case against the applicant, the only allegation that is made out is for possession of counterfeit currency notes which is an offence under Section 489 (C) of IPC which is bailable offence, triable by the Sessions Court. Hence, the applicant may be granted bail. 3.

On the other hand, learned State counsel opposes bail application. 4.

As per the case against the applicant, at the instance of the applicant counterfeit currency notes of worth Rs.2000/- were seized from his possession and on the basis of this recovery alone, the case has been registered, investigated and charge sheet has been filed.

Considering the submissions made and the contents of the case diary and

further that co-accused - Lakeshwer Yadav from whose possession, cash of Rs.15,000/- were seized, has been granted bail by this Court on 09/11/2017 in MCrC No.6081/2017, I am inclined to grant bail to the applicant. 6.

Accordingly, the application is allowed. It is directed that the applicant shall be released on bail on furnishing a personal bond in the sum of Rs.25,000/- along with one surety for the like amount to the satisfaction of the Trial Court. He shall appear before the Trial Court regularly on each and every date, unless exempted from appearance.
