Learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that the respondent / contemnor No. 10 is also an encroacher on the government land and the Division Bench in WP (PIL) No. 53/2016 had directed that if the respondent No. 10 (petitioner in the said PIL) is an encroacher of the government land then eviction proceedings shall be initiated against him also and shall be completed within a period of three months. Though the proceeding is pending before the Estate Officer, Bishrampur who is not taking any steps to initiate the proceedings. 2.

I have heard learned counsel for the petitioner. 3.

Be that as it may, the Estate Officer, Bishrampur is directed to ensure strict compliance of the order dated 26.09.2016 passed in W.P. (PIL) No. 53/2016, Surendra Singh Bagga v.Union of India & Ors. within the stipulated period in the said order and the Estate Officer is also directed to intimate the conclusion of the proceedings to the Collector, Surajpur.

With the aforesaid observation, the contempt petition stands finally disposed of. No order as to cost(s).
