The present Contempt Petition has been filed alleging willful and deliberate non-compliance of the order passed by this Court in WPS No. 521/2018 dated 15/01/2018.

Though the respondents had initially filed their reply which on finding to be unsatisfactory, notices were issued to the respondent No.1 to remain present before this Court today for framing of charges.

The respondent No.1 along with his counsel is present before this Court today and have also furnished an additional affidavit. 4.

Along with the additional affidavit, they have also enclosed a document dated 23/04/2018 wherein it has been categorically said that the order dated 15/01/2018 passed by the Respondents granting promotion to the private respondents in the Writ Petition have been kept in abeyance awaiting further orders in WPS No. 521/2018.

In view of the fact that the order of promotion to the private respondents have been ordered to be kept in abeyance this Court is of the opinion that the interim order passed by this Court stands fully complied with and no fruitful purpose would be served in proceedings further with the Contempt Petition.

The Contempt Petition accordingly stands closed and the respondents stands discharged of the contempt proceedings. 7.

If any grievance is left for the petitioner, they would be at liberty to avail the same before the Writ Court.
