1. The grievance of the petitioner in the present writ petition is the inaction on the part of the respondents is not issuing the renewed permanent permit of the petitioner in accordance with the provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act.

2. The State counsel on due consideration submits that in the light of the recent notification dated 27.12.2019, the action now would have to be taken by the respondent No.3 and appropriate decision shall be taken at the earliest.

3. Given the said facts, let the respondent No.3 take a decision on the application of the petitioner for issuance of the renewed permanent permit to the petitioner at the earliest preferably within a period of 30 days from the date of receipt of the copy of this order.

4. It shall be the responsibility of the petitioner to apprise the respondent No.3, so far as the order passed by this Court is concerned.

5. With the aforesaid observations, the present writ petition stands disposed of.
