Vide order dated 20.06.2016, we had directed the Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Raipur to appear in this Court personally to explain why he did not comply with the earlier orders.

Shri Umesh Kumar Chauhan, Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Raipur, is present and states that in fact the report was sent by him well in time and in fact it was received in the registry on 17th June, 2016. But by mistake, in
the envelope containing the report, the next date of hearing has been shown as 20.07.2016 and therefore probably the report was not placed before the Court. The explanation of the officer is accepted.

Shri A.S.Kachhwaha, learned Additional Advocate General informs us that pursuant to the directions issued by this Court, statement of the prosecutrix was recorded by the Magistrate under Section 164 CrPC and thereafter, the accused has also been arrested on 09.06.2016. 4.
In view of the above submission, nothing survives in this petition and the same is accordingly disposed. Now the criminal proceedings shall proceed in accordance with law.
