1. Heard.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that the petitioner is a student and studying in college. The petitioner appeared in Class Xth examination in the academic session of 2017-18 conducted by respondent No.1 Central Board Of Secondary Education and thereafter appeared in Class XIIth examination for the session in 2019-20 in both the mark-sheets of Class Xth and XIIth the name of the mother of the petitioner is printed as Rashmi Sahu, in fact, the original name of his mother is Laxmi Sahu. It is contended that normally since the mother of the petitioner is called as Rashmi Sahu in place of Laxmi Sahu,

therefore, inadvertently it was written as Rashmi Sahu and as and when the petitioner came to know about the fact that the name of the mother is wrongly mentioned in the mark-sheet, the representation was submitted along with relevant documents but it has not been considered till date. Therefore, the respondents may be directed to consider the application of the petitioner to correct the name of the mother of the petitioner as Laxmi Sahu instead of Rashmi Sahu.

3. Per contra, learned counsel for the respondents objects such submission.

4. Perused the documents. Perusal of the documents would show that the copy of the Adhar Card has been placed on record wherein the name of the mother of the petitioner is shown as Laxmi Sahu. Likewise in the birth certificate and the mark-sheet of the mother of the petitioner the name is shown as Laxmi Sahu. In view of such facts, it appears that inadvertently the name of the mother of the petitioner might have wrongly been written as Rashmi Sahu instead of Laxmi Sahu. Consequently, it is directed that the name of the mother of the petitioner be corrected as Laxmi Sahu instead of Rashmi Sahu in the mark-sheet and accordingly the amended mark-sheet may be issued as expeditiously as possible.
