Vide judgment and order dated 24.03.2011 passed in Sessions Trial No. 37/2010, the applicant Salik Ram Verma, S/o Bhagwan Singh Verma was convicted along with other accused persons for the offence punishable under Sections 302/34, 201/34 and 498-A/34 IPC. The said order was assailed by the applicant in Criminal Appeal No. 407/2011. However, the appeal preferred by the applicant was dismissed. 2.

Learned counsel for the applicant submits that though in the judgment of the trial Court name of the father of the applicant has rightly been shown as Bhagwan Singh Verma but due to typographical mistake while filing the appeal, name of the father of the applicant has been shown as Meluram Verma instead of Bhagwan Singh Verma. He submits that the applicant intends to assail the order of this Court before the Supreme Court and,

therefore, the typographical mistake committed by the counsel while filing the appeal may be corrected.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of State has no objection to the proposition.

Considering the larger interest of justice, we allow the present application and direct that in the judgment and order dated 26.05.2017, name of the father of the applicant be read as Bhagwan Singh Verma in place of Meluram Verma.

With the aforesaid observation, the petition stands disposed of. No cost(s).
