Petitioner is seeking quashment of communication (Annexure - P/14) by which the Superintendent of Police, Bastar, directed him to get the caste status certificate verified from the High Level Caste Scrutiny Committee for issuance of formal order of appointment. 2.

The respondents have filed submission on behalf of the Director General of Police, Chhattisgarh and the Superintendent of Police,

Jagdalpur, duly supported by their affidavits, on 22-5-2010, inter alia, mentioning that the petitioner submitted duly verified caste status certificate on 21-11-2008 and thereafter the appointment order was issued, however, due to intervention of this Court in WPS No.3087 of 2009 and 3153 of 2009, the matter was held up, however, on the date of submission of affidavit, the petitioner has subsequently been appointed as Sub Inspector.

In view of the statement made duly supported with the affidavits of the Director General of Police and the Superintendent of Police, the grievance raised in the writ petition appears to have been remedied. 4.

Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of. No order as to costs.
