In this public interest litigation, the allegation is that contrary to the conditions of lease, mining of sand is being done by machines and not manually harming the environment in the process.

The writ petition is simply based on newspaper report without any further details much less the names of the lessees. The Petitioner has rushed to the Court directly without inviting the attention of the authorities to the aforesaid violation of the conditions of lease by the lessees as alleged. If it is a matter concerning the environment and the Petitioner files a representation before the

authorities making full disclosure about the nature of lease, area of lease and those who are violating the conditions of the lease and the manner of violation, the State Government is expected to act in accordance with law. 3.

The writ petition is disposed.
