Though this petition was filed in the year 2008 i.e. about 10 years back challenging the impugned order (Annexure P/1) dated 24.09.2017, which was an order for a minor punishment of stoppage of one increment without cumulative effect.

By efflux of time, the rigor of that order has lost its efficacy and as such the petition has technically become infructuous. Without entering into the merits of the case, this Court therefore is inclined to dismiss the petition as having become infructuous.
