1. The claim of the petitioner in the present writ petition is for appropriate direction to the respondents to consider his representation for promotion to the post of Assistant Engineer from the date he completed requisite length of service for promotion.

2. The said representation of the petitioner is pending consideration before the respondents.

3. Given the limited grievance that petitioner has, without expressing anything on the merits of the claim of the petitioner so far as his

entitlement is concerned, the writ petition at this juncture stands disposed of directing the respondent authorities to consider and decide his pending representation on its own merits within an outer limit of 60 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

4. With the aforesaid observations, the present writ petition accordingly stands disposed of.
