Hon'ble Shri Justice Sanjay K. Agrawal Order on Board /0 4 /201 (1) In compliance of this Court's order dated 12.04.2016, Principal Secretary, Government of Chhattisgarh, Department of Home, Jail & Transport, Raipur has filed his affidavit stating inter alia in paragraphs 5, 6 & 7 as under:- "5. That, it is respectfully submitted that the Director General of Police, has issued directions, in compliance of order dated 21.04.2016, to all the Superintendent of Police, for strict compliance of the Hon'ble Court's direction to produce typed Charge sheets, case diaries and witness statements in court of law. A copy of letter dated 22.04.2016 is being filed herewith as ANNEXURE D-4.

6. That, it is humbly submitted that the State is very much inclined and progressive in fulfilling the above said directions issued by the Hon'ble Court and by the

police machinery under the Home Department and that there is currently a project called CCTNS which is under implementation under the charge of an Additional Director General of Police, which amoung other things, plans to have computerized online systems in place in all Police Stations for filing FIRs, conducting investigations, filing chargesheets, etc. And, that while the implementation of this project will take some time and there are connectivity issues in many police Stations, it is our earnest endeavour to ensure that al least Charge Sheets, Case Diaries and witness statements are produced in typed format.

7. That, it is humbly submitted that the State will ensure, within the constraints that exist, that all Charge sheets, Case Diaries, witness statements, etc. submitted to the Hon'ble Court by all Police Stations in the Divisional Headquarters will be in typed format from 01.06.2016 onwards; in all other District Headquarters within one year and in all Police Stations as soon as the CCTNS project is implemented."

(2) Since the statement has been made to supply typed copy of charge sheets, case diaries and witness statements in court of law, I hope that the State Government will comply with the statement made in the affidavit filed by the Principal Secretary, Department of Home, Jail & Transport in its true spirit.
