Hon'ble Shri Justice Manindra Mohan Shrivastava Order On Board 02/01/2018 Heard.
1. This is second application for grant of bail moved by the applicant, who is undergoing trial for the alleged commission of offence under Section 13(1)(e) and 13(2) of Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.
2. Learned counsel for the applicant, at this stage, would submit that the application for grant of bail has been moved second time mainly on the ground that the applicant is in jail since May, 2017 and the trial is not likely to be concluded early.
3. Learned counsel for the State would oppose by submitting that looking to the amount alleged to be involved in the commission of offence, the applicant may not be granted bail.
4. Having considered the submission of learned counsel for the parties, at this stage, I am not inclined to grant bail. Therefore, the bail application is rejected. However, in case, there is delay in trial, the applicant would be at liberty to revive.
