The applicant has been arrested in connection with Crime No.161/2017 registered at Police Station - Rajim, District - Gariyaband (CG) for alleged commission of offences under Section 384/34 of IPC. 2.
Case of the prosecution is that the applicant threatened the complainant for extracting money on the allegation that he has seen the complainant taking bribe. 3.
Learned counsel for the applicant submits that the investigation is complete, charge sheet has been filed and the trial is not likely to be concluded early. It is submitted that looking to the maximum period of sentence which could be awarded for the alleged commission of offence and that the applicant is in jail since 17/08/2017, the application may be allowed.

On the other hand, learned State counsel opposes bail application.

Taking into consideration the submission of learned counsel for the parties, nature of allegations, maximum sentence which could be awarded for such kind of offences, and that the applicant is in jail since 17/08/2017 and he is not likely to abscond or tamper with the prosecution witnesses, I am inclined to grant bail to the applicant.

Accordingly, the application is allowed. It is directed that the applicant shall be released on bail on his furnishing a personal bond in the sum of Rs.25,000/- along with two local sureties for the like amount to the satisfaction of the Trial Court. He shall appear before the Trial Court regularly on each and every date, unless exempted from appearance.
