Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is entitled for promotion to the post of Additional General Manager for which he has made several representations to the respondents No. 1 and 2 but it has not been considered and decided till date and, therefore, directions may be issued to expedite the same. 2.

I have heard learned counsel for the petitioner. 3.

Be that as it may, the respondents No. 1 and 2 are directed to consider and decide the petitioner's representation for grant of promotion strictly in accordance with law expeditiously preferably within a period of 45

days from the date of production of copy of this order. However, the petitioner is at liberty to make an additional representation before the respondent authorities for redressal of his grievance. 4.

It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case.

With the aforesaid observation, the writ petition stands finally disposed of. No order as to cost(s).
