1. Through the present Writ Petition the Petitioner had questioned the appointment of Respondent No. 2 as Secretary of Gram Panchayat, Katari. The Petitioner had also claimed for her being considered for appointment to the said post.

2. Counsel for the Respondent-State submits that the grievance of the Petitioner stands redressed on account of the fact that the service of Respondent No. 2 has already been terminated.

3. In the light of the fact that the service of the Respondent No. 2 has since been terminated nothing further remains to be adjudicated in their case.

4. Accordingly, the Petition is dismissed as heaving become infructuous. However, so far as the claim of the Petitioner to be considered for the said post is concerned, the same may be considered by the Respondents in accordance with the rules.

5. It is expected that the respondent authorities shall take a decision in the case of the Petitioner expeditiously.

6. Needless to mention that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits so as the eligibility and entitlement of the Petitioner for the said post. The authorities concerned shall consider the case purely on its own merits on the basis and in accordance with the rules.
