Learned counsel appearing on behalf of petitioner would submit that during the pendancy of the criminal trial against the petitioner, departmental enquiry has been initiated against him and, therefore, he may be allowed to make an application before the disciplinary authority to stay the departmental enquiry proceedings initiated against him. 2.
I have heard learned counsel for the petitioner. 3.
Be that as it may, the petitioner is at liberty to make an application before the disciplinary authority for appropriate relief who, in turn, shall
consider and decide the same expeditiously after hearing the parties. 4.
It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the matter.

With the aforesaid observation, the writ petition stands finally disposed of. No order as to cost(s).
