1. Heard.
2. The petitioner was appointed as Shiksha Karmi Grade-II under Zila Panchayat, Dhamtari as reserved category candidate. Pursuant to the order of appointment the CEO, Zila Panchayat, Dhamtari issued a communication Annexure P-1 dated 27.03.2009, directing him to get his Caste Status Certificate verified from the High Power Caste Scrutiny Committee.
3. Instead of approaching the High Power Caste Scrutiny Committee petitioner preferred the present writ petition on the ground that the High Power Caste Scrutiny Committee is seeking documents prior to 1950 which is not available with the petitioner.
4. Annexure P-1, filed with the writ petition, does not seek any such document either by the CEO, Zila Panchayat, Dhamtari or by the High Power Caste Scrutiny Committee. There are no papers in the record by which it can be ascertained that the petitioner has moved before High Power Caste Scrutiny Committee for verification of his Caste Status Certificate.
5. In view of the above, writ petition is disposed of with direction that in the event petitioner moves before High Power Caste Scrutiny Committee for verification of his Caste Status Certificate within a period of 4 weeks from today, the
said Committee shall verify the petitioner's caste status within next 3 months. Based on the outcome of the verification process the Zila Panchayat, Dhamtari shall take decision about petitioner's continuation in the service. Till the time petitioner's caste status certificate is verified the interim order passed earlier by this Court shall continue in favour of the petitioner.
