Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that though the petitioner has been promoted to the post of Deputy Collector on 14.02.2005, but he is entitled for promotion since the year 1998/2002. The petitioner has also made representation to the respondent authorities in this regard, but the same has
not been considered and decided till date.

Learned State counsel would submit that the petitioner's representation will be decided expeditiously.

Be that as it may, the respondent No.1 is directed to consider and decide the petitioner's representation by a reasoned and speaking order within a period of 2 months from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

With the aforesaid observation and direction, the writ petition stands disposed of. No order as to cost (s).

The petitioner is at liberty to make additional representation within 3 weeks from today.

It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case.
