Earlier writ petition was disposed off on 29.03.2016 passed in WPC No.1251 of 2015 with direction to consider petitioner's representation and claim for grant of compensation. It is submitted that till date, no decision has been taken. There was a direction by this Court to expedite the proposal and take appropriate decision in the matter of award of compensation to the petitioner at the earliest. Even though no specific time limit was fixed, the decision was required to be taken within a reasonable time. A copy of the order of this Court was submitted before the Land Acquisition Officer, Janjgir on 23.06.2016 but it appears that the authority has not decided the petitioner's claim, till date.

Let a copy of this order be submitted before the Land Acquisition Officer, Janjgir-Champa and he shall pass an order on petitioner's claim within a period of 30 days. If orders are not passed within 30 days from the date of submission of copy of this order and the petitioner's grievance is not redressed, the petitioner would be at liberty to revive the contempt petition. 3.

The Contempt Petition is disposed off.
