The grievance of the petitioner in the present writ petition seems to be the inaction on the part of the respondents No.2 & 3 in not giving effect to the recommendations made by the Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) held way back in the year 2008. 2.

According to the petitioner, the DPC held in the year 2008 found the petitioner to be eligible to hold the post of the Assistant Statistic Officer. However, inspite of the recommendation till date there has been no decision taken by the authorities on the said recommendation. 3.

Given the said grievance that the petitioner has, the writ petition at this juncture stands disposed of directing the respondents No.2 & 3 to ensure that unless the DPC that was convened in the year 2008

-2recommending the promotion to the petitioner has been withdrawn or cancelled by any administrative order from a competent authority or the recommendation has lost its efficacy under the rules due to passage of time, the same be acted upon at the earliest preferably within a period of 90 days from the date of receipt of the copy of this order. 4.

With the aforesaid observations, the present writ petition stands disposed of.
