This writ petition under Article 227 of the Constitution of India is filed by the Life Insurance Corporation of India; for short, 'LIC'. 2.

Heard and perused the record.

Respondent invoked the jurisdiction of the Permanent Lok Adalat on account of certain disputes between him and LIC. The matter related to the total amount due under a Policy with the name Jeevan Anand. After considering the materials and the conditions of the Policy, the Permanent Lok Adalat passed an award, which, in terms of Section 22E of the Legal Services Authority Act, 1987, is final and biding on all the parties thereto and persons claiming under them. In exercise of authority under Article 227 of the Constitution of India, it is seen that this is not a case in which interference is called for, at the instance of the LIC, on the scales of justice, more particularly, having regard to the quantum of amount

involved. No perversity or error of jurisdiction can be found with the impugned order. This application therefore fails.
