1. The accused/applicant has moved this bail application under Section 439 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 for releasing him on regular bail during trial in connection with Crime No.P-8 No.1/2016, registered at Excise Circle Police Raigarh, Distt. Raigarh, for the offence punishable under Sections 34(1)(a), 34(2) and 59-A(i)(ii) of the Chhattisgarh Excise Act, 1915.

2. Case of the prosecution, in brief, is that 5.580 bulk litres of liquor was seized from the possession of the present applicant.

3. Considering the quantity of liquor seized from the applicant and his criminal antecedents of having involved in similar nature offences, this Court is not inclined to release the applicant on bail, at this stage.
