1. Learned State Counsel would submit that the petitioner is rape victim and ₹ 45,000/- has been directed to be released in favour of the petitioner as compensation. He would further submit that victim compensation scheme has been amended vide Notification No.F 387/2011/Home-Two w.e.f. 14th September, 2016 and as per scheme major rape victim is entitled for compensation to the tune of ₹ 1,00,000/-.
2. Be that as it may, the State Government will consider the case of the petitioner and grant her compensation as per notification dated 14th September, 2016 within a period of four weeks from today.
3. With the aforesaid observation, the writ petition finally disposed off. No order as to cost(s).
