1. The prayer made by the petitioner in the instant Writ Petition is for issuance of direction to the respondents to consider the past service of the petitioner for the purpose of calculating the length of service for grant of higher pay scale under the circular dated 17.05.2013.

2. Perusal of record would show that, the petitioner as on date has not completed 8 years of service inclusive of past service rendered which would entail him the benefit of higher pay scale.

3. Accordingly, the Writ Petition as of now stands disposed off with a direction that only on completion of 8 years of the service, the

-2petitioner may approach the authorities in the department which then shall be considered in accordance with the rules and regulations governing the field for grant of higher pay scale.
