Heard Learned Counsel for the Petitioner and the State. 2.

The Petitioner was retired on completion of 30 years of service. She came to Court contending that she had not attained the age of 60 years. She was directed to be re-appointed. The claim in this writ application is for salary for the intervening period from 31.3.2004 to 17.5.2006 amounting to Rs.1,39,560/-.

Applying the dictum of no work no pay, the Court finds no reason to grant relief.

The Labour Court in the impugned order dated 8.7.2010 has rightly held that this Court while directing reinstatement had never given direction to pay wages for the period she may not have worked. 5.
