NAFR HIGH COURT OF CHHATTISGARH, BILASPUR Contempt Case (C) No. 133 of 2017 Sarojani Miri W/o Rajendra Kumar Miri, aged about 26 years, Village Bhanesar, Janpad Panchayat, Masturi, PS Masturi, District Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh. ---- Petitioner

Versus

Anbalagan P., Collector, Bilaspur, District Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh ---- Respondent For Petitioner : Shri Suresh Kumar Verma.

For Respondent : None.

Hon'ble Shri Thottathil B. Radhakrishnan, Chief Justice Hon'ble Shri P. Sam Koshy, J.

Order on Board Per P. Sam Koshy, J.

22/03/2017

1. The present petition has been preferred for initiating contempt proceedings against the Respondent for non compliance of the order dated 14.01.2016 passed in Writ Appeal No. 04 of 2016.

2. At the outset, we are not inclined to entertain the contempt petition on the simple ground that we do not find any direction or order or command having been issued for the Respondent to act upon. We do not find any ingredient which could make out a contempt as defined under Section 2(b) of the Contempt of Court Act, 1971.

3. For the aforesaid reasons, the contempt petition being devoid of merit, stands dismissed.
