1. The limited relief that the petitioner has sought in the present writ petition is for an appropriate direction to the respondent no.1 to take an appropriate decision on the representation that the petitioner has made in respect of continuing him in service for a further period of 2 years

seeking protection under the provisions of Section 4(d) of the Central University Act, 2009.

2. Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case so far as the entitlement of the petitioner is concerned, the writ petition at this juncture stands disposed of directing the respondent no.1 to take an appropriate decision on the representation of the petitioner purely in accordance with the rules and regulations governing the field at the earliest, preferably within a period of 60 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

3. The writ petition stands disposed of.
