Learned counsel for the Petitioner submits that as per the policy dated 11.09.2019, the Petitioner has applied for settlement wherein the government lands which have been encroached prior to the year 2017 were directed to be settled on demand of certain amount in favour of the persons, who are in possession. Learned counsel for the Petitioner submits that since the petitioner was in possession of the part of land bearing Plot Nos. 213 & 215 at sheet No.42 admeasuring 1248 sq. ft. he prayed for issuance of the order in his favour. The application of the Petitioner was considered and eventually the Dy. Director, Town and Country Planning, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Additional Collector & Nazul Officer, Raigarh have forwarded for settlement of the said land on payment of Rs.10,57,642/- as per Annexure-P-5. He would submit that the Collector may be directed to decide the case of the Petitioner within a specified time. Learned counsel for the State does not object to the prayer that the case of

the Petitioner may reasonably be decided within a stipulated time. Considering the document especially (Annexure-P/5) wherein it appears that prima facie certain recommendation has been made for settlement of land on payment of certain amount by the Deputy Director, Town & Country Planning, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Additional Collector & Nazul Officer to settle the part of Plot Nos.213 & 215 ad-measuring 1036 sq. ft. on payment of Rs.10,57,642/-, it is directed that the Collector may decided the case of petitioner within a period of 45 days.
