Learned counsel appearing on behalf of petitioner would submit that petitioner's father who was working as Assistant Grade - II in the respondent department died in harness on 02.10.2014 and, therefore, the petitioner has made an application / representation before respondent authorities for grant of compassionate appointment which is pending consideration since 27.10.2014 and has not been considered and decided by respondents No. 2 and 4 till date.

I have heard learned counsel for the petitioner.

Be that as it may, the respondents No. 2 and 4 are directed to consider and dispose of the petitioner's application for grant of compassionate appointment expeditiously preferably within a period of 45 days from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order. 4.
It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the matter.

With the aforesaid observation, the writ petition stands finally disposed of. No order as to cost(s).
