1. The present writ petition had been filed in the year 2010 claiming for a direction to the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner for promotion to the post of Assistant Grade-I from Assistant Grade-II.

2. The matter has been taken up today. The counsel for the petitioner fairly submits that pending the writ petition before this Court the petitioner has been granted two promotions i.e. firstly on the post of Assistant Grade-I and thereafter on the post of Section Officer. As such his substantial relief sought for in the petition stands redressed. However he submits that his dispute so far as non-granting of

seniority from the date his services was taken with the respondents i.e. w.e.f. 05.02.2001 has not been decided till date and his representation in this regard is also still pending consideration, before the respondents and he prays that the respondents be directed to consider and decide the same in accordance with the Rules and law governing the field.

3. This limited prayer of the petitioner is not opposed by the respondents. Accordingly the writ petition itself stands disposed of with a direction to the respondents to ensure that the pending representation (collectively marked as Annexure P/9) of the petitioner claiming seniority w.e.f. 05.02.2001 onwards be decided at the earliest preferably within a period of 90 days from the date of receipt of the order of this Court.
