This instant writ petition has been preferred by the petitioner challenging the order dated 23.02.2018 (Annexure - P/1) whereby enquiry officer has been appointed and departmental proceedings has been initiated against the petitioner.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that petitioner has not received the charge-sheet therefore, the impugned order passed by the respondent authorities is unsustainable and bad in law.

Per contra, learned counsel appearing for SECL on advance copy would submit that petitioner has already retired from service on 28.02.2018, therefor, SECL does not intend to proceed further with the departmental enquiry.

I have heard learned counsel for the parties. 5.

The aforesaid statement of SECL is taken on record. 6.
