1. The present review petition has been filed seeking review of order dated 28.04.2017 passed by this court in Writ Petition (S) No.6116 of 2007.

2. The counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner on the oral assurance of the respondents had made a submission of not pressing the petition as having become infructuous, however, subsequently the respondents have not acted upon the assurance and have now processed for filling up the post of Principal. He submits that immediately he filed a fresh writ petition being WPS No.1240 of 2018 which was permitted to be withdrawn by the court with liberty to file a review petition seeking recalling of the order dated 28.04.2017 passed in WPS No.6116 of 2007.

3. Taking into consideration the observations of this court in WPS No.1240 of 2018 dated 07.02.2018, this court is of the opinion that prima facie a strong case is made out for recalling of the order dated 28.04.2017.

4. Accordingly, order dated 28.04.2017 passed in WPS No.6116 of 2007 stands recalled and WPS No. 6116 of 2007 is restored to its original number for hearing on merits.

5. The review petition thus stands allowed.
