1. Aggrieved by the order dated 14.08.1981 passed by Labour Court in case no.26/MPIR/1981 whereby the case preferred by the petitioner stood rejected, the present writ petition has been filed.

2. At the outset, this Court is of the opinion that writ petition is highly belated and suffers from delay and latches and therefore the writ petition would not be sustainable at this juncture. The impugned order was issued on 14.08.1981 and present writ petition has been filed on 03.03.2021 i.e. almost after 40 years. For all these years the petitioner does not seem to have been aggrieved by the order passed by the Labour Court.

3. Under the circumstances, this Court is of the firm view that the petition suffers from delay and latches and deserves to be and is accordingly rejected only on the ground of delay.
